Back in time – BMW E12 Fifth series BMW E12 differential The BMW E12 is an automobile which was produced by BMW from 1972 to 1981. It was the first generation of the BMW 5 Series mid-size sedans. The differential of E12 comes from older and larger E3 and E9, Bavaria and coupe. LSD occurs very rarely, sometimes in the first E24 635CSi.
