Back in time – BMW E12 Fifth series BMW E12 differential The BMW E12 is an automobile which was produced by BMW from 1972 to 1981. It was the first generation of the BMW 5 Series mid-size sedans. The differential of E12 comes from older and larger E3 and E9, Bavaria and coupe. LSD occurs very rarely, sometimes in the first E24 635CSi. Definitely very interesting with his side cover(sideloader diff). Everything is made of cast iron. 33 years later together with a fifth series F10 diff:

E34 differentials. Popular fallacy.   Despite of limited variety of E34 differentials, there is a mass delusion that I will unveil. There are generally 3 types of E34 differentials. Two of typ188 and one typ210. Here are the following picture: This on the left under the number „28“ is the most common and is present on models with small motors to 525tds inclusive.
